Since the fall of the Soviet Union, Bulgaria has frequentely struggled with corruption. When Boyko M. Borisov came to power, people were skeptical of what change could occur, if any at all. He won the majority of the electoral vote though. The ex-communist nation would like to join the European Union, but people are not sure that they will be ready to with all the corruption. They want to know for sure what is going on. Bulgaria agreed to join the European Union on the condition that they would submit itself to regular monitoring by Brussels. There is said to be less corruption, and they have begun to form a stronger government.
This article show what determination can do, and how people can overcome difficult situations. Bulgaria was in a slump with all the corruption that was taking place, but when Boyko M. Borisov came into power he completly changed things. He has helped Bulgaria get out of the slump they were in and he has cut back on the amount of corruption the is taking place. He has proved that ordinary people like him can make a change in government.
