During this leg of the race, yout team will encounter a road block. During this road block one member of your team will go to St Aleksander Cathedral. St Aleksander Nevski Cathedral (Sveti Aleksandar Nevski) is the most popular church/site among the visitors. It’s a huge bulgarian orthodox cathedral, the second biggest in the Balkans after the one in Belgrade. It was built in 1912 by russian architect Pomerantsev in neo-byzantine style, a typical cross-domed basilica that took 30 years to complete. The gold-plated dome goes up to 45 meters while the massive bell tower is 53 meters high.Once there, they must go inside and find their way to the bell tower at the top of the Cathedral. In the bell tower they must search the walls to find the next clue to determine the pit stop for this leg of the race. This will be esecially difficult since the Cathedral has a dark inteier and is only lit by candles.
Once they have found the clue, they must find their way back down and out of the Cathedral. Then once reunited with their partner they must make their way to The ruins of Serdika located on the yellow paved road. This will be the pit stop for this leg of the race.
