Five largest cities: Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse
Population of the largest city: Sofia- 1,113,132
Estimated size of the four other cities (rank size rule):

3) Varna- 371,044
4) Burgas- 278,283
5) Ruse- 222,626
Populations of the next four largest cities:

3) Varna- 1,113,132
4) Burgas- 1,113,132
5) Ruse- 154,574
Paragraph: In Bulgaria the rank size rule does not prove to be valid when deteriming the size
of the cities. It is said that the second most populated city will be half the
size of the first and the third largest city will be a third the size of the
first largest city, but this is not the case. Using the rank size rule the total
population of the four largest cities after Sofia are shown to be much
smaller than they acually are. The only exception is the fith largest city, Ruse which on the rank size rule is represented as being bigger than it is actually.
