During this leg of the race your team will encounter a detour. The Detour will take place in Bangar. Banger is a small town in Brunei and the capital of Temburong district. Bangar is the administrative centrer of the Temburong District of Brunei. The quiet small town is relatively isolated as Temburong is separated form the main part of the country by the Sarawak’s Limbang district. Bangar city is nicknamed as Rainforest city or the interior city. There is just one main road which runs through the town, roughly in the east-west direction.
Heading east the road leads to Lawas, Sabah and to the west the road leads to the river crossing over to Limbang, Sarawak. It is the major source of local quarry where boulders are collected, processed and shipped to stockyards at Bandar Seri Begawan for the construction industries.

Here both members will use a crain to load an empty crate on a barge that will hold 1 ton, 2,000 lbs worth of boulders. This barge will transport the boulders to a stockyard where they will be used.
